Happy International Dot Day
Superintendent's Department
News Photo Happy International Dot Day, which is Sept. 15.
Throughout the schools today, students worked on special dot projects, made special dot artwork and used technology for it all.
The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to "make her mark." What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the world.
Checkout the photos on school websites and see how art teacher Alicia Sather mixed technology with art for the day, how Rockland teacher Danya Sundh had students use Dot candy for math, and how Copeland Manor teacher Nichole Vipond used dots with an iPad App.
