As Summer School Begins...
From 8:10 - 8:25 we will have supervision on the WEST side of the building for students after they have been dropped off for summer school. Please instruct your children to wait on the WEST side and the doors on the WEST will be open at 8:25 for students to enter. We ask that students only wait on the WEST side because that is where we will have adult supervision. If you walk your child through their schedule on Friday at the Open House it would be a good idea to start at the WEST entrances (not the main office).

This summer our procedures for entering Highland and Rockland schools have changed slightly from previous years. When entering Highland School, please enter the building at Highland's main office. There will be a Greeter immediately inside the doors to assist you in whatever you may need. If entering Rockland School, you will proceed to the Summer School office that will be located in the Rockland Room, just inside Rockland's front door. The summer school staff will be able to help you from this office.

If your child is riding their bike to summer school, please note the bike racks have been moved to the rear of Highland Middle School due to construction.

Lincoln Ave. will only be open to buses this year. This is due to the construction happening this summer on Lincoln Ave. If you are interested in signing up for the bus, you still can!!!! We highly recommend using our transportation. Email us at summerregistration@d70schools.org if you are interested.

General Summer Information
A flyer with general information about our program is available here.

Registration has closed for the 2013 session.

As you plan your registration, we HIGHLY recommend busing based on planned construction projects around Highland Middle School. Construction is planned for behind HMS on Lincoln Ave. Also there will be construction on the west side of the building with several parking spots on Rockland Rd. being used for construction trucks. Please consider busing as an option for summer school.

Busing
Busing will be available for students, with stops at:
-Adler Park School (in the turnaround)
-Butterfield School (in the U drive)
-Copeland Manor School (on 4th Ave. this year!)
-Overholser Park
-St. Joe's/Central Park

Please note Copeland Manor pick up/drop off will be on 4th Ave (near the field) and not at the school entrance. This is due to construction on 7th Ave.

The cost will be the same as last year, $45 for one way or $90 for both ways.

We HIGHLY recommend that families consider using the bus service to avoid the traffic congestion around Highland and Rockland at pickup and dropoff times. With planned construction projects around the schools this summer, parking and access may be more limited than usual.

Because of the extensive construction around Highland and Rockland, busing can be added at ANY point during the 5 week program for the regular fee.
