District 70 is accepting applications for Substitute Teacher, Paraeducator, School Secretary or Learning Center Clerk at any or all of our five schools during the 2020-2021 school year, to cover day-to-day absences. All appropriate PPE and 6-foot social distancing will be utilized. Face coverings are also required at this time. Applicants MUST hold a "Professional Educator License" (PEL), or a "Professional Substitute License" and be registered in Lake County (Region 34). No previous teaching or student-teaching is required, although applicants with education degrees and/or instructional experience are preferred. Note: Online training will be required for those with no education degree. After you have been invited to attend an orientation meeting you should download the Health Record (physical) form below. ![]() In-person summer school in Libertyville District 70 begins on Monday, June 14, and D70 is excited to offer academic courses including math, reading, and writing for students in grades K-8 to specifically address unfinished learning during the pandemic. Registration for Summer School begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 1st, through our d70schools.org website and is open to only District 70 families. Families will register students by their 2021-22 grade level and students will then be assigned a class for the entire morning sessions which run from 8:30-11:45 a.m., Monday through Thursday until July 15. For an extra fee, bus service will be available for summer school, which will be held at Highland Middle and Rockland schools, both located next to one another on Rockland Road in Libertyville Students will not rotate among classes and must remain in school for the entire three-hour morning sessions. As has become practice during COVID-19, students will be asked to self-certify for COVID symptoms every morning before summer school. Face masks will be required, as will social distancing and frequent hand washing.

District 70 is monitoring the Illinois Department of Public Health's IDPH regional data and the Lake County Health Department’s COVID-19 Data Hub and has made the decision to open schools in a hybrid learning model using mitigations listed below.
Additional data by D70 school/building about students and staff with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, who are in isolation, and who are in quarantine can be found here. Families and staff will be informed of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis at their school or assigned building in accordance with guidance from LCHD (See Appendix A. D70's Proposed e-Learning Plan for Snow Days | |
