2019-2020 School Year2019-2020 New Student Registration
This page is for KINDERGARTEN** and NEW STUDENTS in grades 1-8 who will be attending District 70 schools for the first time in the 2019-2020 school year. The information parents need to complete the process is contained herein. Please start with the online "Pre-Registration Form" below. If you have questions, please contact the Registrar, at 847-362-9695 ext. 7116.

**In order for the District to plan for adequate staffing for kindergarten classes, your urgent attention to completing all steps as soon as possible is requested.

Steps for Registration
1Pre-Registration

Completion of the online Pre-Registration form is the first step to beginning the registration process for a new student**. If you do not have internet access, please make an appointment to come to the District Office for assistance: 847-362-9695.  **If your student is already attending as an early childhood student, you will follow the process for returning students, which will begin later this spring. There is no need to complete a new student form at this time.**

2Residency (New Families to District 70)

Illinois Law requires that all students attending Libertyville District 70 be bona fide residents of the district.  The District will attempt to verify residency with third-party software specific to this task. If residency is unable to be verified the parent will receive an email or letter from the Registrar requesting additional information that the parent must then provide in order to proceed.

3PowerSchool - Complete Online Registration
After steps 1 and 2 are complete, the parent will receive an email with their PowerSchool Parent Access Account information. Parent must create an account and then login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to complete the online registration process. Registration is not complete until steps 1-5 have been finished. Please give this your urgent attention so that the district can plan for adequate staffing.

4Pay Registration Fees

Once you have logged in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal (Step 3) and finished entering your child's information you will pay your child's registration fees. There will be links within the Registration software but if you didn't complete payment at that time you may do so through the District 70 Fee Payment Portal.  You may also bring in a check or cash to the District Office if you do not want to pay online with a credit/debit card. If you will be applying for a Waiver of Fees please see the financial section below for the required paperwork.

5Provide Original Birth Certificate
The child's Birth Certificate, with an official seal, must be brought to the Registrar at the District Office. A hospital certificate is not sufficient. The District will make a copy and return the original. The Registrar is available from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:30 on days school is in session. THIS STEP can be completed at any time during the registration process but must be done before registration is considered complete.

6Kindergarten Orientation

2019-2020 Kindergarten Students and Parents: Plan to attend Kindergarten Orientation on April 16, 2019 from 6:00-7:00 PM at your child's school. You will have the opportunity to meet one of the kindergarten teachers, as well as other staff members, and you will learn more about the kindergarten program.

AUPG Digital Learning Agreements
Parents grant permission for internet use and various additional permissions for other technology use via the online registration process. Students sign an acceptable use form in their homeroom class at school.

Money Financial Aid Information and Forms
This packet contains information about USDA income guidelines for 2019-2020 to be used in determining whether your family is eligible for free or reduced price meals. It also includes the District 70 Waiver of Fees form and the Application for Free or Reduced Meals. Download the packet, print the forms, then complete them and bring to the District Office with appropriate documentation. The new Income Eligibility Guidelines do not get released until June each year and will be updated here once they are available.
