Now Accepting Applications for Substitutes 6-19-2019
Human Resources Department

District 70 is accepting applications for substitute work for the 2019-2020 school year.  Positions include: Classroom Teachers, Paraeducators, Learning Center Clerks, and School Administrative Assistants.

For Classroom Teachers, the requirement for previous teaching experience and/or student teaching has been lifted, though is still preferred. At minimum you need to hold a Substitute Teaching License (SUB) license from the ISBE and be registered in Lake County. There is no longer a requirement for teaching experience, a teaching degree or student-teaching.

Crossing Guard Needed

Crossing Guard

The Libertyville Police Department is looking to hire a school crossing guard for the intersection of Rockland Road and Garfield Avenue. 
Hours of work will range from 7:35-8:50 a.m., and again from 2:40-3:55 p.m. The starting pay is $14 an hour. The LPD will provide the employee with training, a hand-held stop sign, a brightly colored crossing guard traffic vest, and a rain jacket.

Preschool Screenings for 2019-20

Medical Supplies The Preschool Screening dates for the 2019-20 school year are set. 

Screening dates for all 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children living in the District 70 boundary area are invited to a free screening that will evaluate their vision, hearing, speech, language, cognitive development. and fine and gross motor skills.

Marine Brother Surprises Sister At Butterfield School

News Photo Butterfield alumni and Marine Corps Cpl. Maxwell Sampson deployed to Kuwait for the last six months, surprises his little sister, Frances, in her third grade classroom.

Cpl. Sampson and Frances' teacher, Karen McLean, planned the happy reunion.  Fox 32 Dane Placko reported the story. (Video does not play on Chrome)
