Communications

The goal of the Communications Department is to create partnerships within and outside the organization in order to provide information, assistance, and opportunities for students, families and residents, staff, non-profit organizations and agencies, and business owners.

The Communications Department supports or oversees:

  • Building relationships between District 70 and the Libertyville community; 
  • Creating community and staff newsletters; 
  • Distributing District 70 electronic and printed communications;
  • Guiding student, parent, and staff school board recognitions; 
  • Handling media relations and social media sites;
  • Managing crisis communications;
  • Processing FOIA requests;
  • Overseeing and maintaining the website;
  • Supporting D70 Foundation for Excellence and business leaders;  
  • Taking photographs;
  • Updating the Virtual Backpack.
