Purpose of Curriculum & Instruction Review: To implement research-based, high-quality curriculum and instruction that supports all PreK-8 learners while growing as educators to make informed, collaborative decisions that enhance student success.

Timeline: The timelines below outline when curriculum committees will convene to review the latest research in the field and follow the review process. This timeline may change depending on emerging needs, available budget, resources, or Illinois State Board of Education standards and policies.

  • Gather input from stakeholders to identify strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in the curriculum.

  • Establish goals, allocate resources, and create a structured revision timeline.
  • Equip teachers with advanced strategies, updated content, and assessment tools through ongoing professional development.
  • Provide materials, technology, and support for effective implementation
  • Implement the revised curriculum using enhanced instructional strategies and best practices.
  • Collect input, address challenges, and make real-time adjustments.
  • Integrate innovative teaching strategies and emerging technologies to transform learning experiences
