With an outstanding and qualified staff,  District 70 encompasses five schools; four elementary (one PreK-5th grades, and three Kindergarten-5 grades) and one middle school (6–8 grades), housing almost 2,200 students. Adler Park School comprises about 235 students, Rockland has 292 students, Copeland Manor schools encompass about 359 students,  while Butterfield School supports about 418 students. Highland Middle School severs about 855 students annually. The day begins at 8:15 a.m. for elementary school students and ends at 2:45 p.m. Middle School students start their academic day at 8:50 a.m. and depart at 3:35 p.m. A wide range of extracurricular activities is available for students at each of the schools, providing opportunities to become involved and invested in all that the schools have to offer.  After graduation, students can attend Libertyville High School, also located in town, and in some areas, Vernon Hills High School.
