Enrollment (based on Sixth Day Enrollment for 2025-26)

With an outstanding and qualified staff,  District 70 encompasses five award-winning schools with four kindergarten through fifth grade elementary schools (including Little Sprouts Preschool housed at Butterfield School), and one middle school (6–8 grades), with enrollment hovering around 2,182 students combined.

• Little Sprouts Preschool has about 54 students;
• Adler Park School has about 227 students enrolled;
• Rockland has about 276 students;
• Copeland Manor has about 372 students;
• Butterfield School has about 500 students;
• And Highland Middle School serves about 722 students each year. 

Bell Schedule

• Elementary schools begin at 8:15 a.m., with students expected to be in their seats at that time.  Dismissal is at 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. 
• Middle school students start at 8:50 a.m. with dismissal at 3:35 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Little Sprouts Preschool runs in the morning session from 8:30 to 11 a.m., and from noon to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. 

Extracurricular Activities 

A variety of extracurricular activities are available for K-8 students at each of the schools, providing opportunities to become involved and invested in all that the schools have to offer.
