2:30 PM - 6:00 PM	RFA Fishing Derby with Special Guest: Mr. Kolar September 19th @ Butler Lake (by the baseball fields) K-2nd 2:30-4:00pm, 3rd-5th 4:30-6:00pm $5 per student – bring your own fishing gear and a mask! Supervision and Attendance: With Restore Illinois Phase Four Guidelines in mind, we do need to keep the total number for each group at 50 or under. Therefore, we are asking that you use the RevTrak link to register your student and then also list who will be responsible for supervising the child. For Group 1 (Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd) We are asking that a parent or chaperone be responsible for each student participating in the contest. It is fine if your child comes with one other student and parent as long as he/she is responsible for the child. It is also fine if one parent is supervising two of his/her own students. For Group 2 (3rd, 4th, 5th) We are asking that a parent or chaperone be responsible for each student unless the student has a lot of experience fishing and is comfortable using bait, hooks, removing fish, etc. In order to keep overall attendance down, please keep registration to one parent or chaperone per student. While we would love to include whole families, we think it is most important to offer as many spots as possible to Rockland students! 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM	Our Annual Gator Gallop is all about getting families outside exercising with the Adler community! The in-person event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20th at Adler Park School. Similar to Meet & Greet, students will be assigned by grade level to front or back of school during a specific time slot. Two similar obstacle courses will be on site for students (and parents!), including favorite stations Hay Bale Climb and Hot Lava Hop. This is a great opportunity to visit Adler and cheer on classmates from a social distance. 	Remote Learning Planning Day for teachers. Students do not attend. Per the Illinois School Board of Education (ISBE), each school district will receive five (5) Remote Learning Planning Days for the 2020-2021 school year. Remote Learning Planning Days are designed to provide time for schools and districts to continuously improve their practices around online instruction. Although students do not attend school during remote learning planning days, each of these days counts toward the minimum length of the school year and does not need to be made up. District 70 has designated the following days in 2020 as Remote Learning Planning Days and has adjusted our calendar to reflect them: Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.
