HMS Office Summer Hours
Sun The Highland Middle School main office will be open from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday for the month of June.  The office is closed on Fridays during the month of June.  The main office will be closed during the month of July.  Regular office hours resume on August 1st.

Returning Student Registration Now Open
District 70

The returning student registration system is now open.

All parents whose residency has been verified will receive an email April 25 with instructions on how to register. Families have been contacted via email if their residency could not be verified. (Current eighth-graders are not included as they move onto high school.) 

Please follow the registration instructions carefully. If you do not see the email, please check your spam and junk mail folders. 

Early childhood registration notification emails will be sent the week of April 29th.

Libertyville School District 70's popular Summer School runs from 8:30-11:45 a.m. on Monday through Thursday from June 10 through to July 11 at Highland Middle and Rockland schools.

Online Report Card Window Now Open
A+

The online report card window for Trimester 3 is now open on PowerSchool for parents.  To access your child's report card when using the desktop version of PowerSchool, simply click on Grade History in the left sidebar on the home screen once you log into the program. You will only be able to view the report card if you are signing in under a parent account.  You will then use the link provided to view.  The online report card window for Trimester 3 will remain open until June 16th.

Registration Fees to Remain Unchanged
District 70

District 70 student textbook and technology fees for the 2019-2020 school year will remain unchanged.

Fees for the upcoming school year, including textbook rental fees, technology fees, and supply costs, will be $125 for students in kindergarten through fifth-grade, while sixth- eighth-graders pay $225. Incoming sixth-graders will receive a new Chromebook.

D70 Hires New Supt for 2019-22

The Libertyville School District 70 Board of Education agreed Monday night to hire Dr. Matthew J. Barbini, currently deputy superintendent of schools in Community Consolidated School District 15 in Palatine, to be the next superintendent of schools for District 70.

During a school board meeting, board members unanimously approved a three-year contract with Barbini that will begin on July 1, 2019. He replaces Supt. Dr. Guy Schumacher, who is retiring in June after a decade in the top slot.
