|Illinois Assessment of Readiness (Grades 3-5) -- Illinois Science Assessment (5th Grade)|
|Public schools are mandated to administer assessments in the areas of math and reading for Grades 3-5 and science for 5th grade students. District 70 will administer the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) to students on March 30-April 6, with make-ups starting April 7th. These tests will be administered in person only. Students who are learning virtually will come to school to take the tests. Teachers will communicate with families directly with more specific information. We will need to communicate with the State of Illinois Board of Education names of any students who "opt out" of testing.|
Copeland Manor is looking for friendly and energetic individuals who want to help make students' recess safe and fun. With increased safety requirements, additional staffing is needed. Whether you cn work five days a week of one or two days a week, you are needed!!
Copeland Manor is also looking for a new health clerk. Our current health clerk has resigned to take another position. No medical experience is necessary. Copeland's health clerk will help in the office, the health office, and will be the primary person in charge of contact tracing and the all around keeper of seating charts across school settings through every learning day.
Please contact Dr. Poelking via email or by calling the school office if you have any questions or are interested in joining the Copeland Manor team.
All D70 parents/guardians are invited to complete the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) 5Essentials Survey to share your thoughts and impressions regarding the school(s) your child(ren) are enrolled in before the survey closes on April 2, 2021.
Your voice is important and can be heard through this survey. Results of your feedback will be shared with the schools in a special report if at least 20 percent of parents at each school take the survey.
Parents who have more than one child who attends the same school may elect to participate multiple times. We recommend that parents who have children enrolled in multiple schools participate in the survey for each school. Only one parent per household may participate in the survey.
