Hello! This is my seventh year at Butterfield, and fourth year in EIP. Prior to moving to EIP, I taught first grade and kindergarten here at Butterfield! I grew up in Highland Park where I participated on the swim team; backstroke was my specialty. I went to Bradley University for my undergraduate degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008. Following graduation I worked at St. Mark Catholic School in Peoria, IL teaching first grade. I spent four years at St. Mark School before moving back to the Chicagoland area to be closer to my family. After returning to the Chicagoland area I worked as both a long-term and short-term substitute teaching in many local districts. In 2014, I become a paraeducator at Highland Middle School working in the HIP room. In May 2015, I began a graduate studies program, and in May 2018 I completed my Master's in Special Education through Concordia University!
In addition to my many years of teaching experience, I have also worked with a variety of summer camps, teaching circus skills and juggling. One of my "hidden" talents is that I know how to juggle and walk on stilts! I am an aunt, to a spunky 4 year-old Kenzie & giggly 1 year-old Emerson!
