Dear Families, 

Welcome to the 22-23 school year! My name is Ashley Halek (known as Mrs. Ashley) and I am so excited that your child is in my class this year! I am looking forward to all the learning that will happen throughout the course of the year and am here to support your child every step of the way.

A little bit about me, I am originally from Wisconsin, but relocated to Illinois 8 years ago. I currently live in Wauconda with my husband, our dog, and we recently welcomed our daughter into the world this past year! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Teaching/Special Education. During that time I also worked with students providing 1:1 ABA therapy within schools, homes, and centers. This will be my fourth year specifically as a special education teacher for the K-2nd grade level,  however this will be my first year teaching at Butterfield School! I am excited to be part of such an amazing community and to be working along the side of a supportive team.  In my classroom your child is our top priority and I cannot wait to help guide them in promoting their independence both in and out of my classroom and building their academic skills.
