Welcome musicians! My name is Ms. Brown Thomas, and I'm happy to be your teacher! We are going to have an amazing year, and I can't wait for us to learn together! I love all of my returning students and and am excited to get to know each and every one of you incoming 6th graders!

I love being a member of the D70 team at Highland Middle School! As a graduate of Augustana and NEIU, I have degrees in Vocal Performance, Scandinavian Studies, K-12 music education, and a masters in Vocal Pedagogy. Voice is my main instrument, and I also play piano, ukulele, guitar, violin, oboe, clarinet, and tenor saxophone, as well as a variety of percussion instruments! I love all things musical theatre, eating ice cream by the pint, I Love Lucy, villains, Freddie Mercury, ABBA, and spending time with my fabulous family. Gratefully looking forward to the experiences we will share this year!
