Middle School Skills 2: This 6 week class takes place the second half of sixth grade. This class is meant to build on your character and promote social-emotional learning. The goal is to leave this class as a leader who forms positive relationships, shows empathy for others, takes responsibility for his/her actions, and sets out to achieve positive goals. All of these character traits are important in your life and will remain a part of who you are in your future.

Fenton Family

I grew up in Buffalo Grove, and was involved in poms, cheerleading, and student council. I also went to overnight camp in Wisconsin and became a camp counselor for many years. I graduated from Indiana University as a Secondary Health Educator, and I got a masters in Educational Technology. This is my tenth year at Highland Middle School. Outside of school, I spend most of my time with my family. I have two sons Mason (7.5 years old) and Oliver (4.5 years old). I also have 3 nephews, 3 nieces, and two older sisters, who I am very close with. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, shopping, traveling, camping, hiking, dancing, taking pictures, being around animals, and meeting new people. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!
