As a Speech and Language Pathologist, I meet each child’s individual needs in the most effective and appropriate manner.I primarily target articulation, language and pragmatic skills. However, I also address other areas such as fluency (stuttering), voice, auditory processing, and augmentative and alternative communication. My role at Adler Park School is to IDENTIFY and EVALUATE students with speech, language and related areas of difficulty, PLAN and CONDUCT activities to improve a student’s speaking, listening and other language skills, COLLABORATE with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to facilitate the understanding and meeting of a student’s speech, language, and academic needs, MONITOR and DOCUMENT the effectiveness of treatment and student progress, WRITE reports and other required paperwork including development of Individual Education Plans (IEP’s), and EDUCATE parents, teachers, and administrators about communication development and disorders.

I am SO excited to be starting my eleventh year as an Adler Gator! This is my 21st year with District 70 and my 23rd year working as a speech/language pathologist. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology/Audiology from Illinois State University and a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Saint Xavier University.  In my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends, but most of all, I love trying to keep up with my eleven-year old Siberian Husky, Bella and my two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Sadie and Sammy. I am looking forward to another fantastic year here at Adler and I am proud to be part of the District 70 family!!!
