My name is Riley Paulus and this is my 5th year teaching second grade at Butterfield School. I actually attended Butterfield as a student and my wonderful teachers fostered my desire to go into this career. I believe in creating a positive and nurturing environment where my students feel safe and excited about learning! I attended Illinois State University for my undergrad (go Redbirds!) During my first year teaching, I began getting my masters in Educational Technology Leadership. I have since completed that program and learned many useful tech tools to bring into the classroom.
While I grew up in Libertyville, I currently live in Wauconda with my 3 dogs (Chloe, Ellie, and Callie.) My parents still live in Libertyville so I see them frequently and might see you out and about in town. I have one older brother (Mac) who moved to Denver, Colorado which is a great place to visit!
