1. Students read, highlighted 1 main idea from each paragraph and discussed the last page of the packet about the 4 spheres
2. Students answered questions on the back of the page together.
3. The correct answers were given and discussed so that students could correct their papers. 
4. In GC - a video of the 4 spheres Pear deck from Wednesday is there with my explanation as well as a 4 spheres example video of me giving you opportunity to recognize the sphere interactions

Welcome back!
1. We started Carbon Cycle packet today. We played the Carbon Cycle game today.
2. We will have a check up next week for the Carbon and Nitrogen cycles.

HW - Make a vocab grid in your composition notebook. (It should look like the vocab grid from the water cycle. Build your own in your composition notebook)
You need to define 4 words and draw a picture of them.
The 4 words are photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, diffusion.

2. We played a second round of the Water Cycle game. 
3. Students used their packet and worked on the Doodle Notes about the Water Cycle
4. The letters are places where water exists and the numbers are processes that water goes through.

1. We reviewed the first 4 vocabulary words in the packet and explained all questions.
2. Students finished reading the information and worked on the second page of vocabulary definitions.

Water Cycle check up is on Tuesday 11/26.

There will be a comprehensive test on the 4 cycles and the 4 spheres of the earth on 12/17. Make sure you are reviewing Rock Cycle and water cycle.

2. We reviewed the water cycle and what you remember.
3. We played the Water Cycle game. Make sure you read over what happened to you and come to class with questions if you need.

HW - Worksheet on states of matter. Read and then fill in the 8 blanks on the drawing page. Feel free to color it too as you review.
The answers are not word for word. You will need to read and think in order to write in the correct word.

1. We went over lost and found and a lot of Outdoor Ed stuff. If you haven't written your tribe leader Thank you note, please do so with the directions from yesterday.
2. We went over the Sedimentary Rock CER and discussed the good and the bad. 

HW - Using the data from the Sedimentary CER - for each layer (there are 5 of them) tell what kind of rock it is and list ALL the reasons why. You will need to go back to the rock packet inn order to re-read and gather the information you need. PLEASE don't guess or think you know. Go back and find the information in the packet!

We are writing Thank you notes today. I've attached a document to help you. We used half of a sheet of printer paper. You can fold it in half or not. You need to decorate the cover (or one side) and write your thank you note inside (or on the other side). You have to write a minimum of 3 sentences, but please write more if you can.

1. Reviewed the Rock Cycle 2 sided review worksheet. Students were able to correct their papers and ask questions.
2. One way to study for the quiz is to write test questions. Not questions to try and stump people but questions to see if the person taking the test understands and knows the information. Not true / false questions, not definition questions. If you can't write a question, you don't understand the information.
3. One example of a good question is - Where does lithification occur in the process of making a sedimentary rock?

HW - Study, review for the check up tomorrow.
Ways to study (these are a few options)- make a quiz is a good way to study, review game zone on the online resources, read your information out loud, teach the review worksheet to someone, re-read the information in your packet and re-write everything you think is important.

1. Check homework for correctness of pictures. Make sure you are reviewing your work every night.
2. There is a check up on Wed. 10/23. Remember a check up is the basic information. You need to review and study and ask questions in order to remember all the information.
3. We tagged our highlighted reading in class and did the story in stone.
4. The first rock was sedimentary. Try to remember what it looked like and use the pictures we have done before to explain sedimentary. The second one was Metamorphic. Use what you remember to draw it  and then use the pictures that we have drawn before to help you remember how it is made. Part 3 is the part we didn't cover which is Igneous. Do the same with it. 
5. VIDEOS OF WHAT WE HAVE DONE SO FAR HAVE BEEN PLACED ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM TO HELP YOU REVIEW AND UNDERSTAND. Listen and watch as many times as you need to.

2. Began Rock Cycle Packet. 
3. Paired up pictures and glued them on page 1 with our best guess of which pairs go with which type of rock.
4. Read the first paragraph on page 2 and highlighted the 2 most important points.

HW - Finish reading page 2 and page 3 and highlight the 1 or 2 most important sentences in each paragraph. DO NOT highlight more than 2 sentences in each paragraph.
